Eight days ago, Dean McAmmond entered the New Jersey Devils system, playing for the Lowell Devils. Crafty ol' Hammer saw an opportunity when Shana-hands left the team due to his diminished role. Looking for a 4th line veteran with the speed and scoring-touch of a rookie? Deano is your man.

But perhaps the Devils are also looking for someone who can play with some sandpaper in his game. Though he doesn't advertise it, the Hammer can get "the machine gun going" if necessary.
