This morning we have several stories concerning knock-off jerseys (Faceoff, Puck Daddy, and Montreal Canadiens). However, I don't know if this is really an issue. The NHL has plenty of money. For instance, I refuse to pay full price for a new Martin Haulat jersey (available here):
Does this make me cheap? Is correct spelling worth the extra $150? Perhaps, but the UB salaries are cut at the end of the regular season and we are all struggling to get by on our playoff bonuses. We can't afford the high-end jerseys.
Note, at the risk of hypocrisy, we ask that you don't buy knock-off Unassisted Biscuit gear - as modeled here (as you can see we are collecting empties for refunds...).
